Creating FDMANC.org's New Look

Learn how Derrek Lemar Media successfully updated the look of the Funeral Directors & Morticians' Association website.

Derrek Lemar Media worked with the Funeral Directors and Morticians' Association to build a website that allowed its administrator(s) the ability to manage their own content, allowing them to stop sending email after email with changes that may or may not be incorporated within 48 hours. By installing and configuring a Joomla content management system (CMS) solution, both parties are now better off.

The Association of North Carolina are proud to present a new website to its members, complete with the ability to self-manage their content and upload images.

I installed and configured a Joomla v1.5 package, complete with a customized template that allows for a custom color scheme, default font size and choice of font family.

The Association admin has virtual free reign to edit the contents of the pages on the website, using a very robust Word-like editor, to create new pages, and change existing ones.

One of the key benefits will present itself when the Association needs to change one or more members of either its Board of Directors or Officers, as they'll now be able to replace a picture, change an officer's name, and just like that, their website is changed.

I am excited about this new direction for the Association, and I'm sure they are, too.
